David Lennon holds undergraduate degrees in nursing and physician assistant studies and a master’s degree in education. He has accumulated over 40 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings with advancing responsibilities in patient care and clinic administration.
His clinical expertise and leadership ability has been widely recognized. Governors Sundquist and Haslam appointed him to health related boards. The Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants recognized him as P.A. of the Year, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants has designated him a Distinguished Fellow. David was also named Didactic Professor of the Year by students attending the Trevecca Nazarene University P.A. program.
He retired from military service in 2012 with the rank of Colonel and commander of the Tennessee Army National Guard Medical Command. His military decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal and three Army Commendation Medals.
David is currently a doctoral candidate at Trevecca Nazarene University with defense of dissertation anticipated January 2015. He lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wife Pam. They have two adult children and three grandchildren.back
